Alaska Cruise

Untamed

  Unspoiled

    Unforgettable

One never imagines that taking a cruise to Alaska can be as breathtaking to one, until you have actually seen Alaska

Let me start with the “Radiance of the Seas” , 7-Nite Hubbard Glacier Cruise and the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line experience.

From the minute you check-in for your cruise. you know you are most definitely on vacation, for the pampering begins.

When you board the ship you are astonished with the walls of glass, the open spaces never allowing a person to feel any sort of crowdedness and the glass elevators facing the sea for spectacular views. But it does not stop here. This is only the beginning

The cabins are very tastefully decorated and spacious with that extra feature of a stocked mini-fridge in your cabin with snacks and beverages that is not offered by all cruise lines. (Please note that the mini-fridge items are not complimentary)

For that extra added experience when cruising Alaska, it is a recommendation to book an outside cabin with picture window view . Or experience all of Alaska's wonders from your own private viewing area by booking your outside cabin with a balcony.

The dining experience was fulfilling, with many choices, as there are many dining options available . Like indulging in an elegant four course meal in the formal dining room or going casual at the Windjammer Cafe.

No matter your dining experience there is always various menu selections and also children's menus available. For those that care to just relax in your cabin, 24 hour room service is available at no extra charge, which is great for those lazy mornings or late nite snacks.

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line offers a wide selection of Entertainment, Activities, Shopping enjoyment and more.........

For exercise the decks are fabulous for brisk walks and jogging. Or venture to the fitness center with the spectacular view and afterwards relax at the spa.

The outdoor activities never end. Whether it's rock climbing, basketball, miniature golf or relaxing at the pool. You can fulfill your entire day.

The children's activities are very well planned and vary from day to day.

Shopping. Yes there is shopping aboard the ship.

Duty free boutiques offering everything from that perfect book to read or that perfect delicate souvenir for that special someone. And remember just in case you forgot your toothbrush, the sundries shops are well stocked with all those little necessities we tend to forget. But one of my favorite shopping adventures was the daily features offered in the Centrum area ot the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line deck sales.

Whether it's song or dance you desire or glitz and glamour. It's all offered at the shows, the lounges, the night clubs or consider trying your luck at the casino.

With Royal Caribbean Cruise Line the experience is one never to forget.

With the exceptional service from all, and the never ending pampering, there is so much to be offered whether aboard the ship or at your next port of call.

Amazing Alaska !

As we have now seen the amazing Alaska ports of call and had the experience of some great culture, history ,scenery and the most amazing Sunsets that are absolutely unforgettable.

We set sail for the final time and cruise along the Inside Passage for our morning arrival in Vancouver, British Columbia.

As we disembark the cruise we are truly filled with a lifetime of memories.

With the relaxing vacation experience with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and the outmost experience seeing some of the most spectacular scenery ever.

An Alaska Cruise is a most recommended vacation for all.

Hubbard Glacier Cruise

Alaska

So lets begin our fabulous ~ 7-Nite Hubbard Glacier Cruise ~

As the “Radiance of the Seas” sets sail from beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia

As the Radiance of the Seas set sail from the Port of Vancouver we cruised along the Inside Passage of the beautiful British Columbia coastline.

Our first port of call the following afternoon in Juneau.

Juneau, the capital city of Alaska is most definitely the home of the spectacular scenery.

One can take a high-speed catamaran ride designed for whale watching or take a fully narrated helicopter tour and fly over some amazing glaciers.

Best yet, is exploring Juneau on foot. For there are more trails than roads.

The city is rich with Gold Rush Days charm and captivating history. Juneau also offers some great shopping deals and memorable finds for all.

Late that evening we set sail again with our early morning arrival in Skagway.

Skagway called the gateway of the Klondike is preserved as a national histories park which has fully maintained its charm and flavor of the “Gold Rush Days“.

You can still take a walk along the old charm wooden sidewalks in this historic town.

Skagway is the home of the one of the oldest narrow-gauge railroads in existence. Be sure to ride the world famous White Pass & Yukon Railroad to endure some fabulous scenery.

After a full day in Skagway, that evening we set sail again with our next arrival cruising slowly through the Hubbard Glacier.

One can never imagine the beauty of a glacier, until you are actually there.

The calving of the glacier is untouched beauty at its best, with the silence and the cold chilling feeling as you hear the odd roar as the glacier calves and sinks into the ocean.

The Hubbard Glacier is most definitely the place to view some of the most unforgettable sights in the world.

Late that afternoon after our amazing Hubbard Glacier experience, we set sail and cruised the entire evening and nite with the afternoon arrival the following day in Ketchikan.

Ketchikan was the supply base and entry port for the “Gold Rush Days”. Much of the towns colourful past is still in evidence.

Be sure to visit the nearby Indian Villages to see the beautiful carved Totem Poles and hear the fascinating legends that follow them.

For some great entertainment and fun, be sure to take in a Lumberjack Show.
